The Trans Agenda

Happy Friday! 🌈 and welcome to...
The Trans Agenda.  🤫

 ::Secret handshake 🤝🙌::

The category isssssssss bird watching. It all started with a colony of humming birds, having a meeting of the minds around a collection of red and orange tubular-shaped flowers at a local park. Standing between two giant fire bushes—several humming birds and insects zoomed by me—pretending I wasn’t there. A strange sound rung in my ear which I now know to be the buzz and chirp of a happy hummingbird.

Later, I learned about their tiny coffee bean sized eggs and how a mama hummingbird will protect them from countless predators (cats, hawks, etc). It must be scary being such a vulnerable but beautiful creature. Why do these wonderful multicolored pollinators exist? Like colorful wildflowers in a field or clouds in the shape of teddy bears—they've (somehow) stood the test of time for no other reason than to make the world a little more beautiful.

I think trans people possess the same qualities. A world where only binary gender existed could be much simpler. We could suppress expressions between hypermasculinity and femininity and not have to consider the infinite combinations that exist. Why stop there? Do we really need all seven colors of the visible spectrum? All seven notes in a musical scale?

If we simplify our existence into the outermost polarities of our physical experience, we could be an efficient machine. Like the gears in a clock. Then we could evolve into a lifeless hive mind of humanoid automatons—going through the motions of our pre-programmed existence.

Or, we all could cherish the birds, flowers, the trans community and all beautiful diversity of the universe. I choose the latter.

The Trans Agenda is BIRD WATCHING

My name is Eir (she/they), and I'm sad to report, I could not deadlift this boulder. I guess I'll never lift the Scottish Dinne Stone.
