Life moves like a scroll and the closer you get to the end, the faster it unravels. It’s like looking out a window of a bullet train watching the trees and buildings zoom by. And it’s so, very, beautiful. We get to will physical matter (our bodies) into doing whatever we want it to do. Just moving a finger is such a miracle in the great scheme of things.

How many things in the universe get to have thumbs???

Good news and bad news—it comes and goes. We can dwell on either and hold on to it as tightly as we can. Or we can move on. Having that option is also a miracle. I wish I can say that I constantly move on from the good and the bad and walk into new adventures. But I don’t. I hold on to many of the good things and bad things I’ve experienced. It takes away from new experiences and steals some of the magic from them. Like riding a bullet train with dirty windows and trying to take a photo of my favorite mountain on the horizon.

Maybe today, I’ll fully enjoy the fact that I have thumbs. I hope you will too.
